New opportunity - Fundraising Officer, International Service Alumni Board.

Earlier this year the International Service Alumni Board launched a new initiative - the Alumni Small Grants Fund. The purpose of the Small Grants Fund is to award one-off grants, which have been fundraised by alumni, to specific small projects in which International Service volunteers are currently participating.

Small projects may include one-off purchases which will improve the work of project partners such as equipment or machinery, start-up costs for new ventures of project partners or awareness-raising events. These small projects should be designed to enhance and enrich the work of the project partners and should provide benefits for the wider community.

Now the fund is set up and the first applications have been received, the Alumni Board is looking for a new board member to head up fundraising within their team.

The main purpose of the role will be to facilitate and support fundraising activities carried out by the Alumni Board as well as the wider International Service Alumni.  In addition, the Fundraising Officer will have the chance to contribute to the wider work of the Alumni Board.

The Alumni Board meets once a month in either York or London, and members are expected to contribute to the work of the board in between meetings. Board members are asked to commit to a minimum of 6 months.
